Here's what I drew.

Go ahead! Put some music on, open your Pinterest, and doodle mindlessly.

2. Here’s a challenge!

Create a character or landscape based on you!

For a Character:

  •  Create a short-haired character if you’re short and a long-haired one if you’re tall.
  • Hair color = The color of the top you’re wearing.
  • Eye color is the color of your shoe.
  • Give the character fangs if you wear glasses.
  •  Wings if you are wearing headphones/earphones right now.
  • Freckles if you drink tea, Tattoos if you drink coffee, and a crown for any other drink.
  • If you prefer books over movies, give the character a ring.
  • If you like movies more than books, draw them a sword.

Now, draw this character out and give them a backstory. Then, draw the city they live in, their favorite place to hang out, their dream destination, and their family.

3. Let art inspire art!

Get inspired by a book, movie, or music!

Book

Are you a reader? IF NOT, scroll down!

But if you are, hello fellow bookworm. Here is an idea for you:

Pretened you are drawing the cover of your favorite book!  Draw the characters, scenes, or setting from a book.

Even just doodling objects related to the concept from a book is enough.

And now that we’re talking about books: let me take this opportunity to showcase my obsession with the Six Of Crows duology.

It’s not only a great book to read but also to draw. It has unique characters that are not only diverse in their looks but also their personalities. The city of ketterdam, the Grisha, and the badass scenes are also great to draw. You could even make comic boxes to capture your favorite conversations!

Or, if you want to doodle, Six Of Crows has a wide variety of objects and animals that relate to the plot.

Movie, K-drama, Anime, Series

If you love movies, Kdramas, anime, or series, draw a scene, character, or object inspired by it!

If I were to recommend suitable ones, it would be Every Studio Ghibli Movie, Business Proposal, Wednesday, or Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva. Honestly, I could rant on and on about how good they are, but that’s not why we’re here 🙁

Music

Play your favorite song or create a diverse playlist! Let the vibe of the songs and their lyrics inspire your heart.

Bonus: Here’s some songs I recommend for this:

4. Warning:  ✨ Weird ✨ drawing ideas ahead.

Draw any one of these:

  1. A cat queen and her human accomplice
  2. The house of a fire fairy.
  3. An alien farmer holding a pitchfork
  4. A couple gazing at the stars.
  5. A city located on the moon
  6. A mountain city.
  7. The moment two people fall in love.
  8. Your house.
  9. Your favorite K-pop idol or celebrity!

Remember, you don’t need to make it realistic. Simplify it, make it cute, and doodle-ly if you want to!

5. Draw one of your old drawings again and see how you’ve improved.
